History
The IMS TECHNOLOGIES Group is made up of many companies each with different traditions that have shaped how they operate over the years.
Even though each company in our group, from the oldest to the youngest, has its own unique qualities, they share in common a deeply technological orientation, unflagging pursuit of the highest quality, and strong innovative spirit, which has driven them to take on ever more demanding challenges.
We are extremely proud of our long history, rooted far back in 1851, and equally proud of our extensive knowledge and peerless skills developed in engineering and mechanical manufacturing. Approximately 14,000 machines installed all over the world are ample proof.

The IMS TECHNOLOGIES Group came out of the synergy of joining specialized, diversified companies, making us an international standard-setter in the engineering and manufacturing of high-tech customized machinery in multiple sectors, including converting, packaging, and other industries.
IMS TECHNOLOGIES’s extensive know-how, expertise, and long history reaching back to 1851 equip us to develop solutions to the highest standards in terms of productivity, quality, and precision, and then bring them to market through its world-renowned brands.
Our brands GOEBEL IMS and LAEM IMS make us a worldwide leader in building converting machinery. GOEBEL IMS is well-known for its wide range of slitter rewinders, un- and rewinders, and special machines, for both manufacturers and converters of paper, film, alufoil and nonwoven. LAEM IMS is specialized in slitting and winding machinery for the converting and flexible packaging industries, in particular twin-shaft and high productivity turret machines able to process different materials.
